Based on EL6

FrameOS is based on the RHEL6 sources. Every package that can be installed in RHEL6, can be installed in FrameOS. Our plan is to be 100% compatible.

x86_64 only

FrameOS is only available for the x86_64 architecture. We have been able to reduce the core install footprint removing i386 packages from the core install. Who is using i386 in their DataCenters nowadays? :D

Small footprint

FrameOS default install needs only ~ 700MB in your hard drive.

Streamlined graphical install

Fewer steps to perform a default graphical install, optimized for server installations.

Turbocharged with additional yum repositories

Gitco (latest Xen packages), ELFF (Chef, ruby gems) and EPEL repositories are installed by default.
